Same settings as my southern cross one but this is of both the magelinic clouds. You can see in the large one the brightest patch on the left bottom piece of it is the Tarantula Nebula my favorite. i'll photograph the tarantula awesomely...one day.

Nice shot.
What equipment you used?
:iconrene-magritte:
Thanks heaps, i'm so glad you like it. I used my pentax S3 camera with 800 ASA film, f ratio 1.8, exposure 15 mineutes, they look really blue (when it really should be red/pink), but this is only because the 800 ASA fuji film is obviously rather blue sensitive. I have since discovered the fuji film xtra 400 asa is really red sensitive!! awesome for astronomy since there is alot of hydrogen in nebula clouds and this will pick it up. Awesome find that film, if your into astronomy you should definatly try it!

Nice. For sure for astroimages the films are still better than the comercial CCDs. I´m in Astronomy but most of the time in the lab or computer, few times we have time to look to the sky even when we are at the telescopes... shame...
:iconrene-magritte:
Really, awesome, what do you do in Astronomy? Do you take lots of photos?

Not really.

We usually stay 2-3 nights at the telescope obtaining the data (usually I do spectroscopy and even dont look at the target!) and after stay some months in front of the computer analysing the data and writing the scientific reports and papers.

Dont looks so fun described this way, I know, but is very exciting when you discover something nobody before had the answer to.

Cheers.

wow cool, i would love to one day be awesome enough to do something like that! But anyway thanks for liking my photo.
